Coastal Bear Territory

Bears, bears, bears! And coastal bears at that!
Here we go guys, the best on the market, the easiest on the market, the most profitable on the market. Who doesn’t like a great bear hunt?! And I’m not talking just any bears, this is a record book producing territory boasting bears with large skulls in excess of 20”.
This area runs from Pemberton in the north, encompassing Lillooett Lake and then following the Lillooett River down to the north end of Harrison Lake. This is a remote region of the Coast Mountains and takes in many large rivers, lakes and valleys, as well as large coastal timber. This country grows big bears! These bears rival Vancouver Island’s, which speaks for itself. These hunts are spot and stalk with high success and they are just a lot of fun; you will have many bear sightings per day. This is a great hunt for a couple of friends to book as an affordable getaway: fantastic black bear hunt, have a bit of a trip away, experience the wilderness without sacrificing comfort and have some fun in the sun with good fishing during the downtimes. These clients are low maintenance and are just happy to be out and about.
To supplement your bear season, hunt in the fall for Columbia Blacktail deer during the rut. In the rut these deer are super aggressive making for a very exciting hunt with many close encounters. The deer in this area are some of the largest bodied and antlered Blacktail deer in traditional range. For fit hunters this hunt will lead you into rugged mountain terrain providing exciting hunting teemed with spectacular views. This hunt also has great success.
This area is run on very low overhead which means you keep more dollars in your pocket. The current outfitter utilizes a road accessed wall tent site. He runs two clients at one time hiring 1 guide, as well as himself. Hunting is done through truck, ATV, and by foot with good access to those epic slides via FSR’s.
Camp is a breeze, just roll in and set up your wall tent camp. The clients love it; a taste of the backcountry without sacrificing comfort: they still get comfortable beds, hot shower, great food and camaraderie with you and their buddy. The views in the area are unrivaled; who doesn’t enjoy glassing in a beautiful setting?!
Everything required to set up your wall tent camp is included and the outfitter has been utilizing the same site year after year. It’s strategically placed in order to access both ends of the territory. In the fall the outfitter utilizes accommodation in the area to run his blacktail hunts with many decent options to choose from. This is not a bad way to be; no buildings to maintain year round and for your spring season just come in a few days before your first client shows up to set up camp. This keeps it manageable, yet comfortable.
This territory is accessible from the lower mainland which makes it an easy flight for your clients. It is a perfect outfit to run for 6-8 weeks in the spring season with some additional hunts in the fall. These bear hunts sell for a great dollar and practically book themselves. Don’t forget about the record blacktail deer, as well as big cats to supplement your year. You also have Roosevelt elk populations increasing in the area with the possibility of a season in the future.
But really, if you want a slick operation with “easy $$” and minimal time commitment or just want to supplement your present operation, this is the one. Keep it simple, did I say simple, yes, I did.
