Area Data

Pelly Lake: Fly-casting for rainbow trout can result in catching 6-pounders. Pelly Lake is approximately 8 kms. long and fed by many mountain streams and by the chain of small lakes draining from the eastern entrance of Barrier Pass. The water is clear and cold, making the fish very active fighters. There are other interesting lakes in the surrounding area.

Pelly Peak Wilderness Lodge was first established in 1963 by Carlo Parisotto. Flying a Republic SeaBee he dropped into Pelly Lake to check a fuel cache for a helicopter operation. He immediately decided this was a place to base a Summer location for fly-outs.

In 2006 Carlo retired and good friends Mark Paskevich, and Jim Bellavance decided to take over the operation and keep on the tradition of providing a great stop-by location for the many float plane pilot/owners who love to fly North in the Summer months.
