Sparks Lake Lodge is a true Canadian northern gem and an outstanding opportunity for an outdoor enthusiast looking to run their own wilderness fishing lodge. Imagine waking up each morning as the sole operator on a spectacular northern lake, 110 air miles from the nearest town, with nothing but crystal-clear water, big fish, and wide open wilderness in every direction. The fishing here is excellent, actually no, it’s world-class!  With depths reaching 150 feet, this beautiful lake holds some impressive Lake Trout, while the many sheltered bays and islands are perfect for sight casting trophy Northern Pike. Days on the water are spent with your guides exploring every corner of an exclusive fishery that your guests will have entirely to themselves. As the only lodge on this lake, with fewer than 100 anglers welcomed each season, there is plenty of room to roam. Your guide will set up a shore lunch that your guests will be talking about long after they've headed home. All fishing at Sparks Lake Lodge is catch and release with barbless hooks, keeping this incredible fishery in top condition for generations to come.

The experience doesn't end when the rods are put away. Wolves are seen regularly right on the runway, moose are plentiful, and sightings of muskox and wolverine are part of what makes this place so special. Between fishing sessions, guests can explore the trails, swap stories around the campfire, or simply sit on their cabin deck with a morning coffee and take it all in. From August 15 onward, the aurora borealis puts on a show that draws guests from all over the world. Sipping a drink under that sky after a full day on the water - that's the memory your guests will come back for, year after year.

The infrastructure has been well looked after. Four guest cabins were built new in 2021, the main lodge was renovated with a new roof in 2022, and the boat motors and primary generator were also replaced in 2021. The 2,800-foot runway accommodates Twin Otters, giving you better payload capacity and keeping your charter costs down. The lodge runs June through September with a maximum of 8 guests per week, and it is showing great bookings for 2026.
