Wolverine Valley

What a great opportunity to get into the business or have a hideaway for you and your friends. This area has big punch in a little package. It provides for manageable logistics being close to a centre and with 4x4 access. A great one to get your feet wet and learn the ropes!
This territory includes a beautiful main camp set near the Wolverine River with an additional 2 mountain cabins, one on each side of the valley. There are also 3 other spike camp locations if you were wanting to further build out the operation, maybe this includes some adventure tourism?
The infrastructure at main camp, which is made up of several buildings, is mainly square log construction, which is sturdy, survives the test of time and provides a rustic, authentic feel. The main camp has all the creature comforts, including a shower house.
There is a good variety of game in this area, including goat, moose, elk, deer, bear, cats and wolves. Region 7b has been on an annual moose quota, however, the region should be seeing a new 5 yr quota in the next year or two, which will increase the potential moose harvest.
Access to the main camp is ATV or SXS with the road having been deactivated; this keeps the Sunday drivers out, although still provides ease of access into your camp. Down the valley from camp, the road again has been deactivated including bridges being pulled out. This will provide less resident pressure; horses would be an asset but are not necessary if you are not a keen horse person. The terrain is varied from alpine to conifer forests into deciduous bottomlands.
This territory lies just SW of Tumbler Ridge and for someone living in the Tumbler Ridge area this opportunity would be ideal. You could head out to the main camp for an evening scout – how convenient is that?! Being accessible and set in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountain peaks, also opens the door to adventure tourism opportunities. With infrastructure and sites already in place it’s an easy addition to this business.
All in all, a great package to run a modest operation with a good cross-section of game and solid camps already in place.
